Mary Adella Brown, 76, of Great Cacapon, WV, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022, at War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs, WV.

Born August 18, 1946 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Winters) Schlotterbeck.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Charles Howard Brown.

Mary loved spending time with her family. She liked going dancing. She enjoyed playing bingo and Yahtzee and always had Yahtzee in her hand, ready to play.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Kellie Goles (Stanley); grandson, Carson Goles; sister, Sheila Nuse (Steven); many nieces and nephews; and Tyrell Miller and Dwayne Schlotterbeck, who she raised as her own.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her three sisters, Janice Minnick, Vedeania Thomas, and Margaret Eichelberger; and three brothers, Herbert Schlotterbeck, Gerald Schlotterbeck, and Michael Schlotterbeck.

The funeral will be held at 11am on Monday, October 10, 2022, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Dave Sword will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 9, 2022, from 6-8pm.
