MARVIN WAYNE JONES, 68, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Born February 3, 1947 in Chestnut Grove, MD, he was the son of the late James William and Genevieve Virginia Bussard Jones. Marvin was employed with MD Ribbon, ET Cline and Sons, and Ernie's Salvage Yard. He was a member of Conococheague Sportsmen's Club. Marvin is survived by his wife of 28 years, Brenda (Griffith) Jones; two daughters, Brittany Jones and fianc, Dwayne Myers, and Amanda Jones; four grandchildren, Brendan Wayne "Buckwheat" Jones, Shelby Jones, Karissa Jones, and Brynna-Ann Myers; several nieces and nephews; and beloved pets, Snowflake and Rambo "Baby". In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Leona "Sis" Wallace, Marian Castle, and Mabel Rubeck; two brothers, Robert "Bucky" Jones, and Melvin "Buddy" Jones. Services will be held 11am Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Rev. John Jicha III will officiate. Burial will be at St. Paul's Cemetery in Clear Spring, MD. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
