Martha Lucille Middlekauff passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 at home with family. Born May 25, 1931, she was the daughter of Gardner and Evelyn Miles, who preceded her in death. Martha worked for Washington County Board of Education in the cafeteria at Pangborn Elementary School, retiring in the early 90s. She was a member of Salem Reformed Church. She was also a member of Chewsville Lions Club and an auxiliary member of Morris Frock American Legion Post 42. Martha is survived by her daughter, Jennifer S. Dayhoff and husband, Kenny, of Hagerstown; three sons, Warren V. Middlekauff, Jr. and wife, Rhonda, of Richmond, VA; Thomas H. Middlekauff and wife, Sue, of Gerrardstown, WV, Gary E. Middlekauff, Sr., and wife, Marlene, of Funkstown MD; two grandsons Khail Middlekauff and wife, Amanda, Gary Middlekauff, Jr. and wife, Allison; numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Warren Middlekauff, Sr.; three sisters, Charlotte Sorge, Virginia Seibert, and Madeline Horst; and four brothers, Kenneth Miles, Robert Miles, John C. Miles, and Harry Miles. Martha was the last surviving member of her immediate family. The graveside service will be held at 1pm on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at St. Pauls Lutheran Cemetery, 14106 National Pike, Clear Spring, MD. Rev. Steve Wagoner will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD.
