Martha Lucille Hall, affectionately known as Tootie, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 17, 2025, in her hometown of Hagerstown, Maryland. Born on February 18, 1955, in the same endearing town, Tootie lived a full and vibrant life, touching the hearts of everyone she encountered with her warmth and kindness.

Tootie was a proud graduate of Boonsboro High School, class of 1973, where she formed lifelong friendships and memories. Her dedication to her community was evident through her work as a beloved cook at Mama's Restaurant, where she left a legacy of delicious meals and joyful moments shared over her home-style cooking. Above all, Tootie was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and companion.

She is survived by her son, William "Bill" Green and his wife, Jess; her grandsons, Coltin and Halligan Green; and her granddaughter, Aislynn Green. She leaves behind her dear siblings, Bonnie Haupt, Mike Green, Brenda Canoles, Jean Green, and Gene Green, along with a host of nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly. Her life was enriched by the companionship of Darrell Houck, who stood by her side with unwavering support and love.

Tootie was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Green, and father, Junior Green, who instilled in her the values of family and hard work.

As we say goodbye to Tootie, we celebrate a life well-lived, a mother and friend well-loved, and a soul that will forever be remembered for its generosity and light. Her memory will be cherished, and her presence sorely missed, as we hold onto the love and lessons she left behind. Rest in peace, dear Tootie, until we meet again.

A memorial service celebrating Tootie's life will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 3:00pm at Greenbrier Baptist Church, 20810 National Pike in Boonsboro.
