MARTHA VIRGINIA DRAPER, 59, of 8296 Rakner Road, Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, died on Monday, June 21, 2010 at Falling Spring Rehab Center in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Born May 18, 1951 in Washington County, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Preston Holmes and Josephine Piper Holmes Murray. She was formerly employed by Record Herald in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. She was an avid bingo player. She is survived by her husband, Timothy Draper; three sons, Preston Shaw, Sr. of Shady Grove, Pennsylvania, Lester Fritts of Clear Spring, Maryland, and William Shaw of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania; one daughter, Brenda Fritts of Falling Waters, West Virginia; two sisters, Dreama A. Beaver of Upton, Pennsylvania, and Libby Whipp of Greencastle, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Robbin Holmes of Boonsboro, Maryland, and Eddie Holmes of Hagerstown; fifteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by previous husbands, Eugene Cresswell, and William Shaw Sr. Funeral services will be held at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown at 2:30 p. m. Friday. Pastor Shane Wilt Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Samples Manor Cemetery in Sharpsburg, Maryland. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 to 9 p. m. The family would appreciate donations made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
