MARJORIE CATHERINE BROWN, 88, of 13824 McIntosh Circle, Clear Spring, Md. died on Wednesday, November 28, 2006 at her home. Born December 19, 1917 in Funkstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late John and Myrtle Barr Talbert. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles M. Brown who died in 1968. She was a former member of First Christian Church in Funkstown. She is survived by two daughters, Marcia Hahn and husband Joseph of Hagerstown, and Marjorie Brereton and husband James of Conway, South Carolina; a brother, Thomas V. Talbert, of Gaithersburg, Maryland; a grandson, Christopher Brereton and wife Amanda, with whom she lived and two granddaughters, Alicia Burchwell and husband Wayne of Shelby, South Carolina and Heather Kandrick and husband Kyle of Maugansville, and 11 great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery. James O. Brereton will officiate. The family will receive friends at the MINNICH FUNERAL HOME, 415 East Wilson Blvd. on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, Western Maryland Hospital 1500 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, Md. 21740.
