Obituary

Marion "Teeny" Margaret Brandenburg Reno, 85, of Hagerstown, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Doey's House.

Born October 21, 1937 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Earl Victor Brandenburg, Jr. and Margaret Louise (Carpenter) Brandenburg.

Marion was an avid gardener. She was an active Golden member of Otterbein United Methodist Church. She taught Sunday School for 40 years. She was a 1955 graduate of Hagerstown High School. She was voted class clown in high school. This wonderful sense of humor remained throughout her life. She worked as a court stenographer in Washington County Circuit Court and as a secretary at Baer Foods in Hagerstown. She retired as a crossing guard for the Washington County Board of Education. She was a member of Hits and Misses Bowling League. She was a home room mother, girl scout leader, band chaperone, and Mom's taxi service. She adored her children. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt. She was very devoted to her family.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Ralph "Deck" Victor Reno, Jr. on December 26, 2018; one sister, Catherine "Sis" Johnson and husband, Joe; brother, Arthur "Auddy" Brandenburg and wife, Sylvia "Buff" Brandenburg; and one step-brother, Earl Victor Brandenburg, Jr.

Marion is survived by one daughter, Cathy Reno Stolins and husband, John Stolins and granddog, Zoey of Clear Spring; one son, Randal "Randy" Victor Reno; brother, Sigmund "Sig" Brandenburg and wife, Reba, of West Tawakoni, TX; and many wonderful nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Services will be held 11am on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Rev. Steve Humphrey will officiate. Burial will be in Beautiful View Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, June 16, 2023, from 6-8pm.
