Marilyn Dolores Stover, 91, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Doeys House.
Born July 24, 1927 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Lester A. and Irene V. (Kline) Bowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, George F. Stover, Jr. who passed away in 2015.
Marilyn was a graduate of St. Marys Catholic School. She worked as a crossing guard at North Potomac Junior High. She also worked at E.J. Fennel. She was a member of American Legion Post 202 in Williamsport, VFW Womens Auxiliary since 1942, and she was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Loretta Spessard and husband, Ned; one granddaughter, Misty Shoemaker and husband, Richard, Jr.; two great grandchildren, Jordan Shoemaker and Alyssa Shoemaker; sister-in-law, Shirley Paine; and brother-in-law, Roland Stover and wife, Dottie.
The funeral service will be held at 10am on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor William Divelbiss will officiate. Burial will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
