MARGERY JANE SWEET of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, passed away December 1, 2006 in Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown, Maryland. She was born in Greene, New York, in 1947 to the late E. Frank Sweet and Hyla A. Sweet. Survived by two sisters, Patricia DeMars of Lynchburg, Virginia, and Kathryn Bard of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; nieces, and grand-nieces and nephews. She worked for the Morgan County Health Department as a registered sanitarian. She was a biology major and graduate from Keuka College, New York, and held an advanced laboratory certificate from Syracuse University, New York. Margery was musical and sang with choirs and chorale groups throughout her life. Margery was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Berkeley Springs and served for many years on the alter guild. A memorial service at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 180 South Washington Street, Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, will be offered, Saturday, December 9, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation, c/o Jane Tweddell, 105 Melody Lane, Berkeley Springs, West Virginia 25411 to fund the Morgan County Breast Cancer and Cervical Cancer Clinic.
