MARGARET E. "KATE" KAUFFMAN, 79, of 11 West Baltimore Street, Hagerstown, Maryland, died Friday, December 30, 2005 at the Washington County Hospital. Born September 9, 1926 in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Esther Ziegler Gruber. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard E. Gesford She was retired from Potomac Edison Company. She is survived by one son, R. Dennis Gesford of Hagerstown, Maryland; one sister, Mildred Murray of Hagerstown, Maryland; one brother Harry Gruber of Aberdeen, Maryland; one granddaughter, one great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia "Jane" Kelbaugh and a brother Preston Gruber. Services will be at 1:00 p. m. Wednesday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown, Maryland. The Rev. Juliana M. Lesher will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
