Margaret Geraldine Gearhart, 88, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Meritus Medical Center. Born May 19, 1927 in Timmonsville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Dorsey and Lyra (McElveen) Pugh. She was preceded in death by her husband, William P. Gearhart, Jr. Margaret was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Hagerstown. She loved nature and gardening. She is survived by one daughter, Teena Younkins and husband, Mark of WV; one son, William P. Gearhart III and wife, Lori of Hagerstown; four grandchildren, Justin Gearhart, Steven Gearhart, Paige Higgins, and Mark Younkins II. In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by one daughter, Leigh Gossard; two sisters and two brothers. Services will be held 11am Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd, Hagerstown. Rev. Steven L. Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, April 25th from 6 to 8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Church of the Nazarene, 141 N.
