MARGARET ROULETTE CALLAS, 82, of 35 Day View Drive, Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2007 at the Washington County Hospital. Born May 12, 1924 near Sharpsburg, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late J. Fred and Estella Roulette. She graduated from Shepherd College with a B.A. degree in education and did advanced studies at Columbia University, New York City. In 1965, she and her husband Peter, spent three years in Nigeria where she was involved in communications. She was a retired teacher in Washington County for twenty-eight years, and a supervisor of Career Education for the three western counties – Allegheny, Garret and Washington County for three years. She was a member of Christ Reformed Church, United Church of Christ, Sharpsburg, Md. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, an honor society; Washington County Teachers Association; Maryland Retired Teachers Association; AARP; Antietam Chapter of National Society of Daughters of American Revolution and was worthy Matron of Areme Chapter, Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Peter Callas; one sister, Cora Dove of Sharpsburg, Md. and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Christ Reformed Church, United Church of Christ, 117 W. Main Street, Sharpsburg, Md. Rev. Delancy Catlett and Rev. Paula Roulette will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the MINNICH FUNERAL HOME, 415 E.
