At the tender age of 101, Madge Brown of Williamsport, MD, departed from this life on August 25, 2025. She was born on October 8, 1923 to Selwyn and Myra Glover of Middlesbrough England.

While serving in Britain's Royal Air Force during World War II, she met her future husband, William Brown, while he was serving in the U.S. Army. After their marriage in 1945, she immigrated to the U.S. and became an American citizen in 1954.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, and one son, David Brown. She is survived by a daughter, Ruth Brown of Silver Spring, MD; son, Stuart Brown (Susan) of Keedysville, MD; and four step grandchildren.

Her life was one of service to others. Most notable were her many years as a volunteer with the Washington County Hospital Auxiliary.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
