MABEL VIRGINIA ROOF, 96, of Hagerstown died January 21 at Ravenwood Lutheran Village. Born September 2, 1910 in Williamsport, MD she was the daughter of the late Clyde E. Hose and Clara E. Swartz Flint. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter R. Roof. She was retired from Maryland Ribbon Company after 40 years of employment. She is survived by three daughters, Rayetta Pompell of Hagerstown, Nanci Craig of Martinsville, VA and Patsy Widdows of Fayetteville, NC; two sons, Donald Roof of Falling Waters WV and Raymond Roof of Smithsburg, MD; one sister, Ruth Moore of Williamsport, MD; 22 grandchildren and numerous great grand and great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, William Bond and Clyde Roof and three sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held_Thursday, 11:00am at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E.
