Mabel Ruth Armstrong, 87, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on November 5, 2023, at Complete Care at Hagerstown Center.

Born September 18, 1936 in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late John Russell and Daisey Olive (Brunner) Kline.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert S. Armstrong.

Mabel volunteered with the Boonsboro Ambulance and Fairplay Firehall. Her passion for bingo and tip jars will be missed.

Mabel is survived by her son, Mark Armstrong and wife, Donna; daughter-in-law, Debbie Armstrong; son-in-law, Bill Smith; grandchildren, Bryan (Gembe) Armstrong, Jamie Armstrong, Amanda Jones, Charlene Witherspoon, and Dustin Thompson; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Jones and Brayden Jones; and many nieces and nephews. She was the last of ten siblings.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mabel was preceded in death by her children, John Armstrong, Sharron Smith, Pamela Smith, and Matthew Armstrong, and her companion, Harold Semler.

The funeral will be held at 1pm on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Matthew Robinson will officiate.

Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, from 7-9pm.
