Lula Mae Stone, 83, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019, at Doeys House. Born December 30, 1935 in Fayetteville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Lula (Strang) Coover. Lula was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter M. Minnick, Sr., and second husband, William L. Stone. She was a homemaker most of her life. Lula is survived by two daughters, Nancy Smith and significant other, Chris Mason, and Bonnie L. Minnick; two sons, Joe W. Minnick and significant other, Anna Stull, and Walter Minnick, Jr. and wife, Brenda; sister, Roberta Shew; 16 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husbands, Lula was preceded in death by her son, Paul Minnick; sister; and five brothers. There will be a Gathering of Friends 7 to 9pm Thursday, August 22, 2019, at Lakeside Village Community Center, 17012 Alcott Rd., Hagerstown, MD.
