LOUISE ISABELL WOOD, 81, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at her home. Born in Windber, PA; on July 5, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah Esther Harr Helman. Louise formerly worked for Giant Foods in Montgomery County. She was a former bowler at Dual Lanes. Louise is survived by her husband, John (Woody) Kenneth Wood; two daughters, Mary Louise Hadaway, Silver Springs, MD, and Rebecca Walker, Hagerstown, MD; two sons, Jimmy Wood of Laural, MD, and William Wood of California; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Pete Helman and Joseph Helman. In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Bateman and two sons, Charles Edward Wood and Jimmy Hadaway. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 8, 2016, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, MD. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 8, 2016, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
