LOU JEAN KITTYLEE (ROWE) NYE, 81, of Hagerstown, died unexpectedly Saturday June 11 at the Meritus Medical Center. Born in Hagerstown in 1930, she was the daughter of the late David and Alice Sellers Rowe. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Arthur Edwin Nye, her sister Ethel Bond, and brothers, Melvin Rowe, Woodrow Rowe, Lauren Rowe and Ray Rowe. Lou Jean is survived by a daughter, Kittylee Harbaugh and husband Ken; son Barry Nye and wife Johanna; granddaughter Kendra Sampson and husband Todd; grandsons, Kevin Harbaugh and fiance Stacey Hester, Blaine Nye and wife Whitney, and Braden Nye and fiance Carri Humphrey; great-grandchildren, Jeremy Nye, Jordin Nye, one great grandchild expected in July; and her faithful canine companion, Eddie. She is also survived by nieces Darlene Suffecool and husband Stan, Vivian Suffecool and husband Tom, and nephews Wilson Rowe and wife Shirley, Bob Dennis Jr. and wife Peggy, and Gary McAllister and wife Kathie. She will be missed by a multitude of friends. Lou Jean attended Hagerstown High School. She was a founding member of the Broad Acres Homemakers Club. She was formerly a member of St. Matthews U.M. Church and was currently a member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the Presbyterian Women's organization and Friday Club. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 10813 Donelson Drive, Williamsport, Md. The Rev. Mark A. Sandell will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E.
