Lorinda Mae (Bates) Crawford, 66, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024. She was born on July 13, 1957 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Russell L. Bates Sr. and Edith Hiles Bates.

Lorinda was a member of New Beginnings Christian Fellowship in Chewsville and a lifetime Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She was a loving mother and grandmother to all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Rae Crawford Sr., her daughter, Lorinda Mae Crawford, her son, Randy Lee Crawford, and her siblings, Laura, Russell "Butch", and Howard Bates.

She is survived by her children, Robert Hewitt, Jennie Crawford (Ron), Ronald R. Crawford Jr. (Carlene), Marie Frederick (Jamie), Christina Crawford, and John Crawford, her grandchildren, Andreaynna, Jonathan, Alexander, Michael, Aaron, Sadie, Daniel, and Amiyah, her great-grandchildren, Alexander, Theodore, and Sebastian, her partner, Dianne Strite, her siblings, John and Donald Bates, and Diane Zelina, and a special friend to the family, Tommy Stoner.

Family and friends are welcomed for a visitation on Monday, January 15, 2024 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard in Hagerstown.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 11:00am at the funeral home with a visitation held an hour prior to the service. Pastor George Snyder will officiate.

Interment will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hagerstown.
