LOLA VIOLA BARTLE, 97, of Halfway, Maryland, died on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro, Maryland. Born April 15, 1914 in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late William Howard and Eliza Jane Scott Mann. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kyle Bartle on September 6, 1992. She graduated from Waynesboro High School, class of 1932. She was formerly employed by the Stanley Company of Chambersburg, and later at J. J. Newberry Co. and McCrory's, for eighteen years. She attended Christ's Reformed Church on Franklin Street in Hagerstown, for about sixty years. She is survived by three daughters, Gloria A. Rogers of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, Dr. Linda R. Bartle of Columbia, Maryland, and Sherry L. Duncan of Elgin, South Carolina; five grandchildren, Charles S. Burger of Newbury, Maryland, Lisa (Burger) Campbell of Jacksonville, Florida, Julie M. Hankins of Hagerstown, Michael J. Hankins, Jr. of Lugoff, South Carolina, and Kelli S. Smith of Elgin, South Carolina; and five great-grandchildren, Chelsea Campbell, Collin Campbell, and Carly Campbell, all of Florida, Emilio Hankins of Lugoff, South Carolina, and Kailey Bowman of Elgin, South Carolina. She is also survived by her nephew, Harry R. Reinecker, whom she helped to raise, and various other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Agnes George, Martha Rensch, and Gail Reinecker. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 27, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown. The Rev. Dr. Gregg R. Meserole will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made to Christ's Reformed Church, 130 W.
