Lois Maude Wolford, 98, of Williamsport, MD, passed away Monday, November 20, 2023, at Doey's House in Hagerstown, MD.

Born October 4, 1925, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Mae Elizabeth (Miller) and William Earl Bowers.

Lois retired from the City of Hagerstown. She previously worked at Woolworths and as a Crossing Guard at Broadway School.

She was a lifelong member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Dixie Wright (husband, Bill); two sons, Dennis Wolford (wife, Pattie) and Darryl Wolford (wife, Nancy); six grandchildren, Matthew Wright, Amy Wright, Matthew Hendley, Eric DeBoni, Aaron DeBoni, and Craig DeBoni; six great grandchildren; nieces, Bonnie Lushbaugh and Jeanie Dunn; nephew, Gary Lushbaugh; and close friends, Mary Bean and Pat Hannum.

In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Richard P. Wolford; and two sisters, June Lushbaugh and Beatrice Dunn.

The family will receive friends 2-4pm Sunday, November 26, 2023, at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, and one hour prior to the service at the church.

The funeral service will be held 11am Monday, November 27, 2023, at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 216 N. Cleveland Avenue Hagerstown, MD. Rev. Kibreab Gudeta officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
