Lois Lynn Walling, 66, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Meritus Medical Center.

Born December 8, 1958, in Washington County, MD, she was the daughter of the late James William and Carolyn Simone (Hildebrand) Barthlow.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Enoch Walling.

She retired from the VA after 40 years of devoted service. She was an active member of the Women's Auxiliary Post 211 and a longtime member of Hagerstown First Church of God, where she also served as a Sunday School teacher.

A loving mother, Lois cherished time spent with her family and friends. She found joy in music, dancing, and playing bingo.

She is survived by her son, James Edward Walling and wife, Danielle; three grandchildren, Summer Lynn, Michael James, and Jesse James; one brother, Dennis Barthlow and wife, Teresa; her sister, Jacqueline Weller; and nephew, Harry Hess and wife, Amanda.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Darrell Willhelm; nephew, Joshua Weller; and brother-in-law, Kevin Weller.

The funeral will be held at 11am on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor David Sword will officiate. Burial will be in Saint Paul Cemetery in Clear Spring.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 6-8pm.
