Linda Kay Purdham, 79, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away, August 30, 2023.Born June 20, 1944 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Charlotte Elizabeth (Linebaugh) and Kenneth Leo Shoop.

She had a passion for cooking and was well knows for her cooking skills at local restaurants and Sports Club, including the Williamsport Red Men Tribe 84.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Sharon Brown (husband, Greg); three sons, Philp Kirby (wife, Renee), Michael Kirby, and Lewis Kirby; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister, Donna Albright; and two brothers, Michael Shoop and David Shoop; several nieces, nephews; as well as her caretaker and special friend, Kiera Widdows, and several important children who were treated as her own grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Purdham; sisters, Sharon Silvers and Millie Ann Williams; and brothers Charles Shoop and Stanley Shoop.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, with Pastor Randall Reid, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8pm on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.
