Linda Darlene Longerbeam, 74, of Martinsburg, WV, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 20, 2025.

Born on January 15, 1951, in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of the late William Howard and Isabel Ecton Howard.

Linda was of the Christian faith. She had a deep love for birds—raising and watching them brought her great joy. But nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Toree Longerbeam for the compassionate care she provided to Linda.

Linda is survived by her sons, Dale Longerbeam and wife Christine of Williamsport, MD, and Brian Longerbeam and wife Catie of Phenix City, AL; her daughter, Wendy Longerbeam and life partner Billy Miller of Hagerstown, MD; nine grandchildren: Adam, Emily, Erica, Joshua, Alex, Austin, Alivia, Avery, and Addison; ten great-grandchildren; three sisters: Nina Lassiter, Virginia Minnick, and Debbie York; one brother, Robert Howard; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Donald Howard; two sisters, Susan Hite and Peggy Cornell; and her grandson, Andrew Longerbeam.

Family and friends will be received at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard in Hagerstown on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with services beginning at 11:00 a.m. A procession will follow to Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown, for interment.
