LEWIS RICHARD MURRAY, SR., 70, of 12136 Big Pool Road, Clear Spring, Maryland, died Saturday, October 27, 2007 at the home of his daughter in Clear Spring, MD. Born November 18, 1936 in Bethesda, Maryland, he was the son of the late George F. and Daisy M. Betts Murray. He was a member of the River of Life Church in Clear Spring, MD. He was a member of the AARP. He is survived by his wife, Dakota Murray, three daughters, Sandra F. Buckler of Hancock, MD, Jennifer S. Sheppard and Teresa R. Chapman both of Clear Spring, MD; three sons, Lewis R. Murray, Jr. and Donald L. Murray both of Clear Spring, MD. and William F. Murray, Jr. of Falling Waters, WV; five sisters, Anna M. Carbaugh, Bessie Henson and Mary Little all of Williamsport, MD, Geraldine Jordan and Goldie Staley both of Falling Waters, WV; one brother, Henry Murray of Hagerstown, MD; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, William F. Murray, Sr. and James L. Murray. At his request he was cremated. Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington Arrangements by the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown, Maryland.
