LESLIE THOMAS FILES, II, 53, of Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at his home. Born November 29, 1956 in Washington County, Maryland, he was the son of Mary C. Files of Hagerstown, and the late Leslie Thomas Files who died on March 16. 2004. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving in the gulf war. He served on the U.S.S. Truett, based in Norfolk, Virginia, and received several medals of honor. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Washington Square, Hagerstown. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post 1936 of Hagerstown. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, antiques, and flea marketing. In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Casie C. Files of Hagerstown; ex-wife, Christa A. Files of Hagerstown; his cat, "Missy Lou" his loving companion; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Saturday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown. The Rev. Thomas L. Perry will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Hagerstown. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 7 to 9 p. m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Humane Society of Washington County, 13011 Maugansville Road, P. O.
