Leonard James "Bob" Stottlemyer, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, born on June 19, 1948, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025, at MedStar Medical Center in Washington, D.C., at the age of 76.

Born in Washington County, Maryland, Bob lived a life marked by wisdom, intelligence, and generosity—touching the lives of all who knew him.

He was predeceased by his beloved son, Leonard "Bobby" Stottlemyer Jr., and his parents, Flo E. Ahalt and Clarence W. Stottlemyer.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Gloria J. Stottlemyer (Cook); his devoted daughters, Tina M. Stottlemyer-Gordon and Paula J. Palmer; his siblings, Clarence Stottlemyer (Faye), John Stottlemyer, Jackie Stottlemyer-Vollmar, and Sandy Snyder (Mark); his treasured grandchildren, Krista, Torie, Derick, Dustin, Steven, Chet, and Kaitlyn; 16 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Throughout his career as a real estate agent and broker of Impact Realty, Bob's keen intellect and steady guidance earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike. His work wasn't just a job—it was a passion and a calling.

Bob found joy in life's simplest pleasures: playing games, tending to his yard, binge-watching favorite shows, and spending time with those he loved most.

As we say farewell to "Bob," we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a journey completed with grace. His memory will continue to inspire and guide us, and his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched. As he would often say, "It was a good life."
