Leonard Roy Eichelberger, 68, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away at Western Maryland Hospital on Thursday, August 15, 2019. Born July 8, 1951 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Kreps A. and Pearl I. (Wise) Eichelberger. He retired from Friendly Restaurant and he was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church. Leonard is survived by his wife, Sylvia Ann (Beaver) Eichelberger; one daughter, Pearl I. Eichelberger; three sisters, Shirley Myers, Etta Witmer and husband, Vernon, and Linda Twigg and companion, Gurnie Stull; one brother, Gary Eichelberger and wife, Betty; one stepbrother, Simon Clopper; six nieces; and seven nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepbrother, David Clopper. The graveside service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at Rose Hill Cemetery, 600 S. Potomac Street, Hagerstown. Rev. Rich Bower will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday, August 19, 2019 from 6 to 8pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.
