LEONARD ROBERT CRAPOFF, 66, of 17620 Virginia Avenue, Hagerstown, Md., died on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at his home. Born March 9, 1941 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, he was the son of the late Leonard and June Woodhams Crapoff. He was employed part time with the City of Hagerstown at City Park. He was a member of Hagerstown Round House Museum, Amvets and the U.S.S. Little Rock club. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Crapoff; two daughters, Sharon Amick of Hagerstown and Ashley Crapoff of Burlington, North Carolina; four sons, Jamie Crapoff of San Diego, California, Rick Crapoff and Brian Crapoff, both of Fairfax, Virginia, and Tom Stringer of Queenstown, Maryland; two sisters, Barbara Hooper of Bangor, Michigan and Shirley Spencer of Kalamazoo, Michigan; four brothers, Dave Gleason, Terry Gleason, Roger Crapoff and Denny Crapoff, all of Kalamazoo, Michigan; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 17630 Virginia Avenue, Hagerstown. The Rev. Christopher Moore will officiate. There will be no viewing. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
