LEONA VIRGINIA PETERSON, 86, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Julia Manor Health Care Center. Born August 1, 1930 in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Grace Burton Myers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Harold Peterson, Jr. She is survived by three daughters, Cheryl Roser of Smithsburg, MD, Linda Harbaugh and Judith Peterson both of Hagerstown, one son, Nathan Peterson of Hagerstown; one sister, Peggy Sprecher; grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sons, Jeffery Peterson, Ernest H. Peterson, III and Terry Peterson; two sisters, Violet Cramer and Rosalie Davis; and four brothers, Jack Myers, Floyd Myers, Jr, Harry "Butch" Myers and Richard Myers. There will be no visitation. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD.
