LEAH RUTH MARTIN, 79, of Middletown, MD, went home to be with her Lord, Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at her home. Born February 17, 1935 in Frederick County, MD, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Florence Kline Brandenburg. Leah was a member of the Locust Valley First Church of God. She loved gardening, her church, and sewing. Leah was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur E. Martin. She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Reinig of Sykesville, MD, Mark Martin of Knoxville, MD, Brenda Sandusky of Hagerstown, Charles Martin of Hagerstown, Wanda Payne of Sharpsburg, MD, Tina Bailey of Middletown, MD, and their spouses; three sisters, Grace Garver, Carol Norris, and Virginia Axline; two brothers, Harold Brandenburg and Charles Brandenburg; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Leah was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Brandenburg, and her grandson, Wilbur Martin. Services will be held 11am Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Richard Frederick will officiate. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9pm at the funeral home.
