LAWRENCE REID YOUNG, 72, of Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Thursday, November 01, 2012 at his home. Born December 12, 1939, in Kansas City, Kansas, he was the son of the late William Roell and Rosamund Ila Loree Fowler Young. He served in the U. S. Air Force in the Vietnam War. He continued serving his country as an employee of the Drug Enforcement Agency. Following that he was a purchasing agent for a lighting manufacturer in Houston, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Barbara H. Young; two daughters, Chris Riley of Preston, Maryland, and Leigh Riley of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; two sons, Vincent Young and Brett Young, both of Houston, Texas; and one granddaughter, Becky Friend. Services and burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Washington County, 13011 Maugansville Road, Hagerstown, Maryland 21740.
