Lauri Ann Burkett, 60, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Doey’s House.

Born December 4, 1965, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. Burkett, Sr. and Jeanne V. (Moore) Burkett.

Lauri attended South Hagerstown High School and Clear Spring High School, graduating from Clear Spring in 1983. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, including playing bingo, swimming, fishing, and spending time online playing games and connecting with friends.

Throughout her working years, Lauri was employed by East End Tavern, Delmar, McCrory’s, West Winds, and the Salvation Army.

Lauri is survived by her life partner, Linda Ragland, two daughters, Tara Maldonado, and her husband, Anthony, and Christina Hill, and husband, Harry; two granddaughters, Tykeeyia Jackson, and her partner, Jason and Katavia Jackson; one grandson, Cayleb Hill; three brothers, Charles A. Burkett, Jr., and wife, Wendy, Ernest Burkett, and Jose Merete; one sister, Maria Edmonds; aunt, Laura Eckard, and husband, Bill; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Tina Peck and Michelle Edmonds, her grandparents, several aunts, uncles and a niece.

The family will receive friends from 3-4pm Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. A memorial service will follow at 4pm with CSM Larry Miller officiating.
