LAURA GERALDINE (JERRY) MAGAHA, 80, of Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at her home. Born May 28, 1931, in Mapleville, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Roy Ralph and Etta Bogner Summers Beard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald V. Magaha. She was previously employed with B. F. Goodrich, Rohr Industries, and Fairchild Aircraft. She was a member of Greenbrier Baptist Church. She was a member of the Red Feather Council 59, Williamsport and American Legion Post 202 Auxiliary, Williamsport. She is survived by one sister, Belva Hall of Hagerstown; two nieces, Laura Reamy, and her husband, John, of Hagerstown, and their daughters, Bethany and Amy, and Kathy Buick, and her husband, John, of FL; two nephews, Roy "Rick" Beard and his wife Gail of GA, and Bobby Beard of GA. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Beard, Jr. and Robert Beard; one nephew, Rod Beard. Funeral services will be held at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown on Saturday at 1:00 p. m. The Pastor George M. Snyder will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
