Larry Franklin James Jones, 77, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away December 31, 2020 at his home. Born December 31, 1943 in Washington County, MD, he was the son of the late Ira Franklin and Margie Marie (McCoy) Jones. Larry was self employed and attended South Hagerstown High School. He was an animal lover, especially his horses and his cats. He dearly loved his children and especially, his grandchildren. He was a very avid sports fan, and especially loved Nascar races. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shirley Jones; two daughters, Laura Miller, and husband, Donald Miller, Jr., and Letitia (Tisha) Nalley, and husband, Michael; one son, Larry (Butch) Jones, and wife, Tammie; two brothers, Carl and Anthony Jones; five grandchildren, Donald Miller, III, and wife, Jacqueline, Kasye Marks, and husband, Robert, Larry (Jamie) Jones, and wife, Allison, Misty Nalley-Gordon, and husband, Steven, and Tara Nalley; three great-grandchildren, Bobby Marks, Tyler Marks, and Colton Alexander Miller. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by three sisters, Ardella, Francis, and Wanda. A Celebration of Larrys life will be held at a later date.
