Larry B Dietrich, 86, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Monday, March 2, 2026 at home with family present.  Born April 11, 1939 in PA, he was the son of the late Paul and Edna (Beeler) Dietrich.

Larry graduated in 1958 from South Hagerstown High School and went on to dedicate 40 years of service to the cement plant in Hagerstown. He also pursued his entrepreneurial spirit by owning and operating Dietrich's Auto Body Shop.

A passionate race driver, Larry competed at Hagerstown Speedway. He loved building street rods and was an avid fan of NASCAR and all forms of stock car racing. Above all, he cherished time spent with his beloved Dachshunds.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Carolyn A. Dietrich; son, Gregory A. Dietrich; his special granddaughter, Lauren M. Dietrich; sister, Linda Pyles; sister-in-law, Brenda Dietrich; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald P. Dietrich.

The funeral service will be held at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd, Hagerstown, at 11am on Friday, March 6, 2026, with a one-hour visitation prior to the service. Rev. Christopher Serufusa of St. Andrew Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
