KLEORA FRANCES "BETTY" DIFFENDAL passed on to her heavenly home on October 19, 2018. Betty was born to the late George and Kleora (Pet Montgomery) Diffendal of Smithsburg, MD on May 15, 1927. Betty was an only child but was loved and cared for by family members. She is survived by numerous cousins. Betty graduated from Smithsburg High School in 1945. She attended Columbia Business College. Betty was previously employed with Zimmerman Wholesalers and Victor Products. She worked at Maryland Ribbon for most of her adult life, retiring in 1989. Betty was a member of Hagerstown Bible Church where she loved attending her Ladies Sunday School Class. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm, Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Hagerstown Bible Church, 203 Summit Ave. Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Dale Carver will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Providing Relief for Autistic Youth, 15316B Quirauk School Rd., Sabillasville, MD 21780.
