Kevin James McCormack, 70, of Martinsburg, WV, passed away Friday, November 11, 2016 at Berkeley Medical Center.
Born November 8, 1946 in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Leroy and Violet (Cleary) McCormack.
Kevin was a combat medic in Vietnam with the 1st Infantry Division. He earned multiple awards, including the Bronze Star.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Manhattan College in NY. He was the Director of Diagnostic Imaging at New York area hospitals.
In addition to many loving family members, Kevin is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jo-Ann McCormack; one daughter, Jennifer C. Kane and husband, Kevin, of Ijamsville, MD; one son, Timothy M. McCormack and partner, Crystal Smith, of Frederick, MD; two brothers, Brian X. McCormack of NJ, and Stephen G. McCormack of VA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Patricia McCormack.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am, Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at St. Agnes Church, 106 S. Duke Street, Shepherdstown, WV. The Rev. Matt Rough will be celebrant. Burial will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 15, 2016, from 5 8 pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD.
