Kay Johnna Strange, 83, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2020 at Fahrney-Keedy Memorial Home, Boonsboro, MD. Born November 14, 1936 in Chickasha, OK, she was the daughter of the late John and Zuma (Sitterding) Moncrief. Miss Kay provided daycare for forty years and was a surrogate grandmother to many. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jerry Strange; four daughters, Brenda Harvey, Terri Malat, and husband, Doug, Sherri Lantz, and husband, David, Kerri Semler, and husband, Jeff; one brother, Jim Moncrief, and wife, Pat; eight grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. Private graveside services were held Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fahrney-Keedy Memorial Home, 8507 Mapleville Rd., Boonsboro, MD 21713. The family wishes to thank the staff for their care of Kay.
