Kathleen Virginia (Lewis) Green, a beacon of selfless love and passionate devotion, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2024, at the age of 93 in Hagerstown, MD. Born on June 14, 1930, in Myersville, MD, she was the cherished daughter of the late Lester L. and Leona M. (Smith) Lewis.

Kathleen's life was a testament to the power of love, as she dedicated herself to her family and home with unwavering commitment. She was the beloved wife of Jerry Green, with whom she shared 52 years of marriage, filled with joy, challenges, and precious memories. Though she faced the heart-wrenching loss of her infant son, Richard John Dagenhart, and her dear children, Donnie and Butch Dagenhart, Kathleen's love never faltered.

She is survived by her loving children, Nancy Baker and her husband, Larry, Barbara Moore, Sue Hawthorne and her husband, Bill, Mikey McCormick and his wife, Dorothy, Tom McCormick, Peggy Holcomb, and David Green. Kathleen's legacy continues through her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, who will carry her spirit forward.

Kathleen is also survived by her brother, Lester "Jr." Lewis, but has been predeceased by her sisters, Ruth Dagenhart, Hazel Cook, and Betty Miller, and her brothers, Jim Lewis, Raymond "Tuck" and Glen Souders.

Kathleen's life was a beautiful illustration of what it means to be loving. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

The funeral will be held at 1pm on Monday, May 13, 2024, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD with Pastor Guy Nesbitt officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
