KATHLEEN S. RYAN COMBS, of Martinsburg, West Virginia, died on April 30, 2011 in Palatka, Flordia. Kathleen was born on April 14, 1933 in New Castle, Delaware, and moved to Hagerstown in 1940. She was the daughter of the late William J. and Fannie Bryson Ryan. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in Hagerstown in 1951. She retired from Martinsburg Computer Center in Martinsburg in 1993 where she worked as a computer operator. She was a member of the Catholic faith. She is survived by her loving husband of thirty-two years, Donald Combs; son, Jeffrey Anderson, and his wife, Dena, of Hagerstown; stepson, Randall Combs, and his wife, Paula, of Moorefield, West Virginia; brothers, George Ryan and Daniel Ryan, both of Hagerstown; sisters, Patricia Eckert and Elizabeth Tidmore, both of Williamsport, and Teresa McGarity, and her husband, James, of Hagerstown; granddaughters, Jennifer Anderson of Hedgesville, West Virginia, and Lauren Cunningham, and her husband, Dillon, of Laurel, Maryland; stepgrandchildren, Shannon and Matthew Combs of Moorefield, West Virginia; and many nieces and nephews. Kathleen was preceded in death by a brother, William J. Ryan, Jr., and a sister, Frances Wingert. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a. m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 224 West Washington Street, Hagerstown. The Rev. Collin Poston will be celebrant. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p. m. Prayers will be at the funeral home 6:00 p. m. Wedneday.
