KAREN MARIE FREY PHEABUS, 54, of 7503 Fairplay Road, Boonsboro, Maryland, died on Thursday, October 1, 2009 at the Washington County Hospital. Born April 6, 1955 in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of James O. and Melodie L. Brown Frey of Boonsboro. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Gary J. Reichard in 1981. She graduated in 1973 from Williamsport High School, and graduated in 1975 from Hagerstown Junior College with an A.A. degree in business. She was a realtor in the area for 3o years. She was a member of the Manor Church of the Brethren. She is survived by one sister, Kristi Lescalleet, and husband, Roy, of Boonsboro, Maryland; two brothers, James K. Frey, and wife, Mary, of Boonsboro, Maryland, and Scott Frey of Boonsboro, Maryland; maternal grandmother, Thelma Troup of Boonsboro, Maryland; and nieces and nephews, Teri Lescalleet, Cory Lescalleet, Kevin Frey, and wife, Raena, Amanda Frey, Katie Frey, Ryan Frey, and Kenny Frey; and loyal canine companion, Harley. Funeral services will be held at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown on Monday at 2:30 p. m. Pastor Joy E. Zepp will officiate. Burial will be in Bakersville Cemetery in Bakersville, Maryland. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 6 to 8 p. m.
