JUNE BEATRICE SHANK, 79, of 200 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at the Washington County Hospital. Born June 1, 1929 in Washington County, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Henry William and Lelia Beatrice Whistner Harris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Shank in July 2004. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Friedrich, and husband David, of Greencastle, Pennsylvania, and Roberta (Bobbi) Ecker, and husband Jeffrey, of Hagerstown; two sisters, Edna Kimble, and Catherine Schildtknecht, both of Hagerstown; and two granddaughters, Sarah Friedrich and Katie Friedrich. She was preceded in death by six brothers, Wallace Harris, Theodore Harris, Joseph Harris, John Harris, Vernon Harris, and David Harris. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Friday at the Rose Hill Cemetery. Rev. George A. Limmer will officiate. There will be no viewing.
