JUNE ELAINE MURPHY, 73, formerly of 852 Snyder Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at the Western Maryland Hospital Center. Born September 28, 1934 in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Wesley and Frances Rhoades Resh. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Murphy on May 6, 1997. She was employed with Western Maryland Hospital Center for twenty-two years, retiring in 1994. She was a member of the Broadfording Church of God. She is survived by one daughter, Beatrice June Morrell of Hagerstown; three sons, James Wesley Murphy of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Timothy Michael Murphy of Orange Park, Florida, and Thomas Patrick Murphy of Falling Waters, West Virginia; two sisters, Sarah Spickler of Hagerstown, and Mary Horst of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, and seven brothers. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Monday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. Rev. Alan N. Clingan will officiate. Burial will be in Broadfording Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 6 to 8 p. m.
