JULIA MARY HARTLEY, 87, of Hagerstown, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at EMeritus Senior Living. Born October 12, 1927, in the area of Security, MD, she was the daughter of the late Domenico and Angelina Mancini DiBiase. Julia was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She work at Bon Ton in domestics and was a member of the Catholic Daughters. In addition to her parents Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Hartley who passed away in 2005; one son, Domenic (Donnie) Hartley who passed away in 1995; two brothers, Philip DeBiase and Albert DiBiase; one grandson, Derek Smith who passed away in 2001. Julia is survived by one daughter, Angela (Angel) Hartley Backus and husband Jonathan of Hagerstown; one son, Richard (Rick) Hartley and wife Ann of Berlin, MD; seven grandchildren, Gina Hartley Taffe and husband Christopher of Hagerstown, Christopher Hartley and wife Dawn of Bear DE., Bryan Hartley of Berlin, MD., Matthew Hartley and wife Shawnthea of Aldie, VA., Stephen Smith and wife Lisa of Peoria, AZ., and Nicholas Backus of Parkville, MD.; eleven great grandchildren, Eric, Carter, Zachary Brendan, Domenic and Julia Hartley, Sophia and William Taffe, Logan, Madison and Derek Smith; and daughter-in-law, Linda Hartley of Hagerstown. Memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 17, at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Linda Warehime will officiate. Gathering of friends will be one hour prior to the memorial service. Private Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
