Judy Ann Resh, 74, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Hagerstown Healthcare Center. Born, January 28, 1946 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late M. Pauline Fields and John Russell Fields, Jr. She graduated from South Hagerstown High School, Class of 1964. She entered Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing in Baltimore, MD and graduated with a degree in nursing in 1967. She retired from Western Maryland Hospital Center where she worked for 36 years and 11 months with dedicated service and grateful recognition of providing quality care to those entrusted into her care. After graduating from nursing school in 1967, she married the love of her life, Joseph W. Resh, Sr., on September 23, 1967. She was of the Lutheran faith. She enjoyed gardening, playing with her pets, Midnite and Taffy, and eating out with friends and relatives. She also enjoyed spending time at her son, Jerrys house. She is survived by her husband, Joseph W. Resh, Sr., of 50+ years; two sons, Joseph W. Resh, Jr. of Hagerstown, MD and Jerry L. Resh and wife, Melinda, of Columbia, MD. The funeral service will be held 1pm Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Chaplain Eileen Flenner will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Judys name to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
