Joyce L. Michael, 90, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on March 19, 2025 at her home.

Born June 19, 1934 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the twin daughter of the late George W. and Hazel M. Kauffman.

Joyce attended Hagerstown High School. She worked for H.L. Mills, Grand Union, and Eastern Products until she retired to be a stay-at-home mother.

Joyce is survived by her loving husband, Leslie S. Michael, of 57 years; her two daughters, Teresa Shubert and Stacy Michael; two stepdaughters, Lisa Lindmen (Ross) and Cherie Michael (Steve); stepson, Leslie Shannon Michael III; twin sister, June Burger; sister, Linda Sprecher; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Phyllis Troxelle, Flornie (Bobbie) Braun, Betty Hoover, and Aletta Kitzmiller; two brothers, William Kauffman and Richard Kauffman; one stepson, Todd Michael; one stepdaughter, Jamie Michael; and one step-grandson, Christopher Michael.

A private graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
