JOYCE ANN MAY, 66, of 213 W. Chapline Street, Sharpsburg, Maryland, died on March 2, 2008 at the Washington County Hospital. Born May 12, 1941 in Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late William and Anna Fay Seighman Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry D. May on February 27, 1994. She was employed as a cook with AC&T for 15 years, retiring in 2007. She is survived by a daughter, Sherry Canfield of Keedysville, Maryland; two sons, Scott May of Sharpsburg, Maryland and Christopher May of Hagerstown; a sister, Karen Polansky of Vermillion, Ohio; two brothers, William Jones of Terraverde, Florida and Gary Jones of Manns Choice, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Thomas Canfield, Dawn Canfield, Ryan May, Dylan May and Courtney May; a sister-in-law, Marsha May of Lorain, Ohio and three brothers-in-law, Bud May of Ohio, Rodger May of Sumter, South Carolina and William May of North Canton, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Boulevard. The Rev. George A. Limmer will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
