Joyce Ann
Gorombol
Jun 28, 1957 — Jan 11, 2026
Joyce Ann (Myers) Gorombol, 68, of Hagerstown, Maryland, peacefully passed away on January 11, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 28, 1957, in Lakewood, Ohio, to the late Robert Paul and Rita Marie (Haller) Myers.
Joyce was a 1975 graduate of James Ford Rhodes High School in Old Brooklyn, Ohio, where she was a member of the ski club. She carried her love of creativity, connection, and hands-on projects throughout her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Melanie Stewart and husband Mark of Reno, Nevada, and her cherished grandsons, Jackson and Colton; and her son, Michael Gorombol and wife Ashley of Hagerstown, Maryland, along with her beloved granddaughters, Sophia and Sydney.
Joyce also leaves behind her twin sister, Janet Meglich of Brooklyn, Ohio; sister, Laurie Meglich of Cleveland, Ohio; and brothers, Robert Myers and Thomas Myers, both of Brooklyn, Ohio. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews—Chris Mattern, David Gerry, Andrew Logan, Eric Logan, Jen Myers, Lisa Myers, Melissa Gadd, Amanda Myers, Lindsey Meglich, and Jami Meglich—as well as numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and dear friends.
Joyce had a deep love for her family and treasured every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. She had a gift for making a house a home and was happiest when surrounded by loved ones. Known as an exceptional cook, Joyce brought people together through her meals, always preparing dishes that will be fondly remembered.
She was incredibly artistic and found joy in creative pursuits such as stained glass, crocheting, and crafting. Joyce also had a passion for home improvement projects and enjoyed watching HGTV for inspiration, often turning ideas into beautiful, tangible creations. In her leisure time, she cherished the friendships she built at Holiday Camplands, where she spent many happy moments relaxing, laughing, and making lasting memories.
Joyce will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, and the love she gave so freely to those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of family, friendship, and memories filled with care and compassion.
A celebration of Joyce's life will be held in the fall, her favorite time of year, when family and friends can gather to honor her memory.
