Joshua Allen Heerd, 26, of Hagerstown, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at his home.

He was born on June 27, 1997 in Washington County, MD, he is the son of Telisa Butts and the late Michael Lee Heerd.

Joshua loved spending time with his family, especially his son, Julian. He had many friends that he loved as family. He was known for his absolute love for his peanut butter milkshakes he stopped for often.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gary Butts Sr., his aunt, Tammy Murphy, and his uncle, Clyde Butts.

He is survived by his mother, Telisa Butts (Chad Keith), and his "second mother", Shirley Shank; his son, Julian Heerd; two brothers, A. J. Nicholl and Amarie "Bama" McMath; grandmothers, Rebecca Butts (Buddy Pitsnogle) and Sally Spessard, several nieces and nephews, and many beloved cousins.

Family and friends are welcomed for a visitation on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 1:00pm - 2:00pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD.

A funeral service will follow the visitation, beginning at 2:00pm at the funeral home. Pastor Vera Keith will officiate.

Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, 299 E. Main St., Sharpsburg, MD.
